Let go of the need to get approval from others, as others to approve or disapprove of things based on what they themselves would or would not do. Give yourself permission to be wrong, give yourself permission to be right, give yourself permission to be where ever it is that you are, and just know that if you trust that you already are right where you need to be, the doors of possibilities open up. Yes, bad things happen, there are situations beyond anyone’s control, however, the lessons learned in the face of a challenge is what gives us the strength to grow. We often are afraid to enjoy the good times, because we are waiting for something bad to happen. We are constantly worried that the “good” in our life is going to leave and “bad” is all that is left. We are afraid to love, afraid to trust, afraid to give, because we are afraid we will never be happy, or that we will never feel the way that we feel when we have that thing, or that job, or friend. The feelings that arrive are not because of any specific thing, the feelings arrive because of who we become when we around that thing. Give yourself permission to feel that way all the time. “I just want to be happy, and be loved” what is preventing you from being happy and loved at this very moment? Things outside of ourselves do not fulfill us; they shine a light on how we like to feel, but where is it written that we cannot be happy and feel loved all the time.
Dark VS Light
How to start a piece of writing that many people out there may never read? There comes a time in every person’s life where one might question not only themselves, but also the world that they live in. Everywhere we turn, all we see is all of the evil in the world, and when someone becomes a light in that world, we reject it. Why do we reject it? We reject it because it is foreign; it is unknown and strange. We spend our whole lives preparing for “the worst,” always looking to see what is wrong with someone, how something will not work, and/or how a situation could go bad. That is not to say that those things themselves are a bad thing. We need the bad to know what it is that we want. We need “the worst” to set the bar for what is “the best.” The challenge that arises when we have been focusing on the negative, or the worst of this world, situations, or and/or people, is that becomes our reality. We only see what we are looking for. In fact, how can we see something that we are not looking for? We spend our whole lives starving for a light, but always waiting for the dark. The balance comes when we realize that we are that in which we seek. That may not make sense, or may seem redundant; however, think about that for just a second. We are what we seek, so we are the light. If we are in fact the light, that means we get to shine in those dark places. It also implies that if we are constantly seeking the dark, then we are the dark. How can dark ever be light? In many cases, it is as easy as a switch…
We are just an answer seeking a question
Sometime in life some rather bizarre situations occur, you do not have any idea how or why, they just happen. When something bizarre happens, one of two things can take place.
One: you can deny it and talk yourself out of believing that it is going on. You say all of the right things. You tell yourself that it was a fluke, it was just by chance, or in fact it was just seen wrong.
Two: You accept it, and a new way of thinking takes place. You start allowing and start questioning other things, and wondering what else is out there. In doing so, your beliefs of what is real or made up start to change. As we dive into this story, we will see both of these things can take place.
Fear
When we close our eyes and look deep within ourselves, what do we see? When we ask ourselves what we truly want, what answer do we get? We seek many answers; we seek change; we seek the opposite of everything we do not have in the current moment. When you are happy, time stops, and in that moment we do not worry about the same things that we are worried about when we are not in that state. We do not have to worry when we are in a state of happiness due to us being present for that feeling of enjoyment. When we are in lack of that emotion, we crave it once again, because in that moment of joy the fear fades away. The ear that it will be the wrong decision; the fear that we are not able to live life the way we want to live; the fear that we will be judged; fear that we will stay the same, and all while resisting the change that we seek. When we live in constant fear that is all we see. The truth that we see is the truth that we see based on whatever emotion that we are experiencing at that very moment. When you are in extreme joy, you feel connected, you feel grounded and safe. When the security blanket falls off and the fear sinks in, you feel vulnerable, you feel unsure and fearful that you may never feel that security blanket again. You fear trust; you resist the very thing you need to accept, to be able to get to the place you are seeking. On the other hand, it is also living in a state of denial that where you are not where you are supposed to be. How in the hell can that be the case, for the simple point of you are there right now.
Breaking Free
Ruby that is why we eat orange without the peel. No, you did not miss any pages; this is where this piece of writing begins. Most writings start with a question, or some cliché “once upon a time…” BS line; Even in some cases, some spun out factual assumption that generalizes a group of people as a majority and says that the majority does this or that; all while other people think that they are being called out and start attacking what someone else is saying. Let’s be honest here for a second, right that is also something people say, “Just being honest..” Just keeping it real…” what exactly are you keeping real and what exactly are you being honest about.
Early Morning Rant
Breathe in. Breathe out. Feel the air going in and out of your body. How remarkable is that. The fact we are able, to do so many extraordinary things and not every have to know what is going on, or tell it what to do it just happens. It happens in nature all the time as well. If you look at nature, it tells us everything we need to do to survive. Cows, horses, dogs, and cats do not sucked in to vices and drama, and they do just fine. Plants and trees do a great job of surviving without having to tell the world everything about them. Imagine a world, that everything you could have ever dreamed of is not only happening, happened and is existing, but is exceeding what you could have ever thought possible.
BE
Emotions are at time are hard thing to explain. We look for the truth inside at each giving moment. We search for the certainty within each action. What exactly is that truth? The truth, the answer, and the mythical reason on why we do what we do?
The idea behind needing that truth is what limits us; it is an excuse not to live. It is an excuse to live in this world held down by weights and vices. It is an excuse to live in a state of needing approval; a validation that it is right or it is wrong. It is an excuse not to do the work. The change that is wanted is the change to that cannot happen, unless the change that is wanted is the change lived. This is not living in a way that embraces that change.
